Downriver · Michigan
Southgate families are a short drive down Fort Street from a thoughtfully bred Mini Goldendoodle puppy raised in our home on Grosse Ile.
Distance & Drive Time
Our home is on Grosse Ile in the Detroit River, about 11 miles south of Southgate. Whether you're near the Eureka Road corridor or closer to Wyandotte, Taylor, Riverview, or Allen Park, we're among the closest small breeders a Downriver family can find — roughly 15-20 minutes via Fort Street (M-85) or I-75. Once your application has been reviewed, that proximity makes scheduling a visit painless, and it keeps pickup day simple and unhurried.
Southgate families rarely need more than a quick round trip. You'll meet your puppy at your scheduled appointment in our home, then head back north on Fort Street (M-85) or I-75 — usually 15-20 minutes door to door, which means your puppy can be settling in at home within the hour.

What Sets Us Apart
What sets us apart is scale: a handful of carefully spaced litters, raised amid everyday family life rather than in a kennel building, every year since 2015. ENS starts in each puppy's first week, and early potty training is well underway before pickup, so your Southgate home starts on solid footing. Our doodles finish out between 15 and 35 pounds and carry the low-shedding coats allergy-conscious families look for, backed by a 2-year health guarantee. Litters are limited, so we suggest applying well ahead; visits are arranged by appointment after your application is reviewed.
Currently Available
We breed only a small, intentional number of litters each year. Apply to be added to our waitlist — we'll personally reach out as soon as we know more about timing for your match.
Frequently Asked
About 15-20 minutes. Most families take Fort Street (M-85) south or follow I-75, then cross the bridge onto Grosse Ile — roughly 11 miles door to door. It's close enough that a visit never has to eat up your whole day.
Appointments open up once we've reviewed your application, so the first step is applying rather than dropping by. Because the litter lives in our home, we limit foot traffic to keep each litter healthy and settled. Being just up the road, Southgate families usually find it easy to book a time that works.
We're a small in-home program, not a high-volume kennel, so we raise only a limited number of litters each year. Applying early is the best way to secure your place, and approved families are matched as puppies become available.
