Mini Island Doodles is located on Grosse Ile, just south of Detroit on the Detroit River. For families in Detroit, Dearborn, Wyandotte, Trenton, and the surrounding metro, we’re among the closest boutique Mini Goldendoodle breeders in Michigan — close enough to visit by appointment after your application is reviewed, and well-positioned for a smooth pickup day.
Most Detroit-area families pick up in person. We'll arrange a quiet appointment time so your puppy meets you in our home environment before the drive home — usually a 30-minute trip via I-75 South to the Grosse Ile bridge.
What Sets Us Apart
We’re a small, intentional breeding program — not a high-volume kennel. Detroit families who choose us are typically looking for the consistency and care that distinguishes a boutique breeder: in-home raising with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), structured potty training, and a 2-year health guarantee. Our puppies mature in the 15–35 lb range and have predictable, fully furnished, allergy-friendly coats.

Grosse Ile is roughly 25 miles south of downtown Detroit, about a 30-minute drive depending on traffic. The route follows I-75 South to the Grosse Ile bridge.
We ask all interested families to complete an application first. Visits are by appointment, after we've had a chance to learn about your home and lifestyle.
We intentionally keep our program small. Our litters are planned thoughtfully, which means availability is limited but consistency is high. Apply early to be added to the waitlist for upcoming litters.
